For the past 25 years, our mission, at Ebico, has been to support households in cutting their energy costs and carbon emissions. As part of delivering on that goal, for the past 3 years we have offered home energy supply contracts under Octopus Energy’s supply licence.
Given the widely publicised rises in wholesale energy costs in recent years, we have reviewed our strategy and concluded that the home energy supply deals we are currently offering are no longer the most effective means for advancing our social and environmental objectives. As a result, from the 1st of April, we will step back from providing energy through our partnership with Octopus Energy. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, supporting UK households cut costs and carbon remains our central purpose.
